Nalia Martinez Grau was born in 1966 in Holguín, Cuba. She received her artistic training from 2005 to 2006 in Havana, Cuba.
Martinez Grau reached maturity after exploring various styles of art during her career, ranging from her early work on expressionist elements to the present geometric abstractionism or concrete art. She has been influenced by Kasimir Malevich and his avant-garde Manifesto and the opt-art of Victor Vasarely. Her canvases show well-developed technical skills, representing the human being through the line and essential elements, configured in a minimalist setting.
Her work has been exhibited at various Galleries and exhibitions in Holguin and Havana, Cuba. She is been featured internationally in Spain, Ecuador, Italy and the United States.
